Beat the Tour Coaches on the Trotternish Loop
Base yourself in or near Portree for at least two nights. Set out before 08:00 for the Old Man of Storr (1.5–2 hours return) and continue north to the Quiraing landslip and Kilt Rock before 10:30 when day-tour coaches arrive from Inverness. Spend your afternoon at Dunvegan Castle, Neist Point Lighthouse, or Talisker Distillery.
